Dr. Thomas Nathan Bowles, DMD, MD 

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon 

Dr. Nathan Bowles is a highly accomplished oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional care for his patients.  A native of Ballard County, he graduated as Valedictorian of Ballard Memorial High School in 1998 before pursuing higher education with distinction.  He went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Murray State University in 2002, graduating summa cum laude.   

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Bowles completed dental school in 2007 at the top of his class before advancing his medical education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he graduated in 2010.  He then completed a rigorous oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Louisville in 2013, equipping him with extensive expertise in surgical procedures of the face, mouth, and jaws. 

Dr. Bowles is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Kentucky Dental Association, the Kentucky Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His memberships reflect his commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements in his field and upholding the highest standards of patient care. 

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bowles enjoys spending time outdoors—particularly hunting and fishing—and finds his greatest joy in watching his children succeed in sports, theatre and school.  Married to his wife Terra, a successful veterinarian for 18 years, they enjoy traveling and are dedicated to their family and community.
